Do I have to be an artist to participate in Expressive Arts therapy?
Nope! The approach of Expressive Arts Therapy involves "low skill, high sensitivity" activities, meaning that our goal is to explore emotion and make meaning through art rather than to create something for an aesthetic purpose. For more information please see the following page: What is Expressive Arts Therapy?

How much does therapy cost?
My fee for weekly therapy is $180-150 per 50-minute session. I use a sliding scale to structure my fees; those who pay a higher fee help provide access for those who need financial assistance. I hold a number spots in my practice for folks who pay below $150 per session, which are full at this time. Please see my resources page for a list of lower-fee and sliding scale therapy options.

In addition to seeing clients for ongoing therapy, I also offer the following services: Stand alone 90-minute Expressive Arts Therapy Sessions with no commitment to ongoing therapy. Consultation for therapists looking to learn more about working with TGNC clients and/or integrating Expressive Arts Therapy techniques into their practices. Please contact me directly if you are interested in working with me in any of these capacities.

Do you take insurance?
I am in-network with Aetna and Regence BCBS in OR. My applications are pending for: Moda and PacificSource in OR with finalization TBA. (I am not contracted with any insurance panels in CA). Some insurance policies will provide partial reimbursement for out-of-network therapy depending on your benefits. Please consult with your insurance carrier for more information about your specific plan details and coverage.

Are you seeing people in-person?
I am currently meeting with clients both virtually and in-person in NE Portland with Covid precautions. Feel free to ask me additional questions about my safety protocols to reduce the spread of Covid and other illnesses.

Is your office accessible?
There are stairs required to enter the office on the 2nd floor which may limit access (8 porch steps and 1 full staircase). Please ask me about additional accessibility needs.
